Tennessee to dress in their best whites

Posted by stangable on October 22, 2009

UA Athletics Department denied a request by Tennessee to wear their home (hideous) orange uniforms that had previously been approved by the SEC for Saturdays game in Tuscaloosa. The Vols could still wear the jerseys but would be penalized 15 yards each half if they chose to sport the Orange. Something Lane Kiffin says they wont do. However I wouldn’t put anything past him.

Brandon Jacobs break out?

Posted by stangable on September 25, 2009

As a current fantasy owner of Mr. Jacobs, he has offered me little confidence in what the rest of his year could entail. However, I am drinking his coolade this week (maybe in hopes) as he takes on the lowly Buccaneers who gave up 163 rush yards to Fred Jackson last weekend. Thus far Jacobs has only 104 rushing yards against a Dallas D who has yet to record a sack, and the Redskins who narrowly escaped with a win last weekend against probably the leagues worst team. With the trend nowadays for teams to have two backs or more sharing runs, getting consistent numbers from your supposed number one RB seems to be impossible; with of course the exception of Adrian Peterson.
